On this challenging day, Team ISS Academy left its mark with a flawless solo performance from Gamze Ceyhan, who conquered the summit alone.

Stage Recap

The 89 km route concluded at the 2,200 m summit of Karadağ. The decisive moment came in the final 10 km climb with an average gradient of 10.5%. Gamze managed the pace wisely in the early part of the race, then launched a decisive attack at the foot of the climb. With steady acceleration and powerful rhythm management, she broke free from her rivals and crossed the summit finish line solo, securing an emphatic victory.

Keys to Victory

On Karadağ, pace control, gear selection, fueling, and rhythm management were the deciding factors. Gamze’s ability to conserve energy within the peloton until the climb, and then apply a negative split strategy—gradually increasing her pace towards the summit—proved to be the foundation of her triumph.
